Aikyam - Inter Religious Prayer

July 08, 2022

"If we live in our oneness - heart, we will feel the essence of all religions which is the love of God. Forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and the feeling of oneness are the signs of true religion" On Friday 8 July 2022, our school observed the Inter Religious Prayer Service.
Prayer is the shortest way between humans because God is the One who is nearest to us. Prayer is the strongest bond because it goes through God. In our distressed, broken world, prayer is a bond of peace.
On this special day, Mr. Harman Sethi, a founding member of the Bangalore Sikh Youth who is serving as the Public Relations Officer for Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha and Ms Margret director of IRHM Ashirvad were the Chief Guests. The prayer service was inaugurated by lighting the lamp at the hands of Chief Guests followed by Principal, coordinators and student representatives symbolizing unity and onessness of humanity. We started with a Harmony dance followed by scripture reading from Bible, Bhagvad Geeta, Qurhan, Agam Sutra, Tripitaka and Guru Granth Sahib after each scripture reading a hymn was played that filled everyone with piousness. A harmony song was presented by the choir. The guests were introduced and falicitated. Our Chief Guests addressed the gathering they insisted on the importance of respecting each others faith and to live in harmony. Our principal addressed the gathering and the prayer service came to end with the vote of thanks.
