Benedictio 2023

February 15, 2023

Benedictio - Beseeching Blessings and Grace upon Class 10 Students. "We come before God with grateful hearts to express our gratitude for all the blessings and gifts we have been given". As our Class 10 batch 2022-2023 is all set to begin the new chapter of their lives , a solemn prayer service was offered for the students of class X on 15 February, the first ever Benedictio, in Latin 'thanksgiving and Praise.Rev. Fr.,Rohan D' Almeida SJ, Fr. Steven SJ and Fr.Joseph Vaz SJ graced the occasion with their august presence. To give the first fruit of the day is one of the most valuable ways to show our love to God. With these sentiments in heart, the solemn programme began with the invocation prayer dance followed by the lighting of the lamp and the welcome speech. The teachers articulated the Holy scriptures verses which in turn would lead our students to launch out into the world with a will to stand and fight against anything that does not enhance truth, honesty ,values and righteousness. Which was followed by the intercessory prayer to place our students' intentions before God. We often use the expression, "strike a chord in one's heart." The heart is like an instrument. It is the richness of the heart that determines the richness of our life experiences. Given the same circumstances, a person with a single-stringed heart might only produce and experience a monotonous music of life, while a person with a hundred-stringed heart can create and enjoy an immensely rich and deep symphony of life. Taking further into connecting to the divine within us, our amazing school Choir created this magical symphony through a devotional hymn. Sherly Wilfred our School coordinator shared a short inspirational video presentation giving our graduating class a way forward in their further journey to become global citizens. The speaker of the day Rev. Fr. Principal shared his valuable insights and experiences with the students that would enable them to take their further steps in life. The focal point of the day was laying hands on students to beseech Almighty's blessings and grace. Reverend priests and teachers laid their hands on children to pray over them and bless each outgoing student as they are about to reach an important milestone in their lives. Life is a journey and not a destination and each stage in life there are entry and exit points. Though each leave taking is painful, it opens up potential for growth. thanking God for His love, strength, wisdom and courage bestowed on our students so that they fly high on the wings of success. We beseech God's choicest blessing on our outgoing Class X students and wish them very best in their future endeavours
