"The science of today is the technology of tomorrow". St Joseph's School celebrated National Science Day on 28th, February 2023 to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir CV Raman. This special occasion started with the prayer and the welcome note. The chief guest for the celebration was Mr Goutham, head of training and professional development in Scikraft Education and Engineering. The assembly began with a prayer followed by the significance of national science day. A short play was enacted by the students on the theme of global science for global well-being.
The play emphasised on how global science helps to overcome the emergence of new challenges in the field of public health, catastrophic changes, food production and education by our scientists and researchers for our well being. The chief guest was introduced and felicitated followed by his message, he showcased and performed a few experiments on Non Newtonian fluid, Greedy cup etc with the help of Scikraft experimental tools. Our Principal Rev Father Rohan D'Almeida, in his address reminded the students that Science can be applied in a constructive manner rather than the destructive for the well being of the human race. It was a fun and fruitful assembly.
