Hindi Diwas

Our country India has become a land of many tongues and has been called "as a tower of veritable languages" or a "Museum of languages". The constitution of India has approved 22 languages. Hindi is one of the 22 scheduled languages of the Republic of India. Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14 September because, on this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devnagri script as the official language of the Republic of India. Hence, The staff and the students of St Joseph's School, CBSE celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm. An online live streaming programme launched on social media channel You tube. The Master of the ceremony were Sushmit Roy and Tanushree Ajit Menon from class 9. Inspirational Prayer song "Tumhi ho Mata pita tum hi ho" sang by the school choir. Angel Maria a student of class 3 and Mohammed Abubakar a student of class 9B delivered speech with the importance of the Hindi language. Master Aman Kumar of class 9B played guitar with a patriotic song "Maa Tujhe salaam" and Sapna Alex of class 9A danced with the inspirational Hindi song "Ye Watan ye Watan mere Abad rahe tu". Principal Rev Fr Rohan D Almeida addressed the viewers with the significance of the Hindi language. The students are impacted by this special occasion and realized the needy language Hindi to unite the country.
