Teacher's Day

September 04, 2021

'A Teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart'.
Teachers' day was celebrated online as well as offline by the students in a unique way. This year, class 10 took an initiative in celebrating Teachers' day on 4 th September (offline) by welcoming all the teachers in the board room and organized a small programme as a tribute to all the teachers in the presence of Principal Rev Fr Rohan D' Almeida and Fr Vijay Raju who paid homage to our great teacher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan along with the coordinators, PTA members, Alumni members and students from class 9 and 10o. The programme started with an invocation dance by Sarah. Luth welcomed the gathering and Shreyas conceptualized the significance of the magnificent day. This was followed by cutting of the cake by Principal, PTA treasurer, Coordinators and teachers. The programme was followed by Ms. Krystal and Ms. Vijayarani sharing their experiences in teaching profession. A beautiful video presentation on teachers was presented by Vignesh and followed by issuing certificates to the teachers by the Principal. A mesmerizing dramatic skit was performed by class 10 students and a beautiful dance by Chinmay of class 8. PTA members organised lively games for teachers. The programme was concluded by Principal's message.
The wheels started rolling weeks ago with intense and detailed planning, headed by the coordinator of the event Ms. Avila and team. "Teachers are those who endure endless cycles of rebellion and defiance each day and who give their best shot at prodding us in the right direction".
The online programme was celebrated on 5th September. Rector Rev. Fr. Joseph Ignatius Rodriguez enlightened the mass with his speech followed by the Principal's inspirational speech. Sapna Alex shared the significance of the day. Alumni and students from all the classes wished all the teachers and made them feel special with their beautiful videos.
"True teachers are those who help us think for ourselves"- Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
