"Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured they
are the future of the nation and the citizen of tomorrow".
On this occasion, St. Joseph's School CBSE celebrated children's day in two phases offline
on 13th November, 2021 where students from class 6-10 were invited for the programme held
in the school campus. Our Chief Guest for the day was Ms Viabhavari Ranganath a
Professional Bharatanatyam Dancer, Classical Singer and Photographer.
The celebration began with a prayer service seeking the Almighty's blessing by our school
choir followed by lighting of the lamp by our Chief Guest Ms Viabhavari Ranganath, Rev
Father Rohan D 'Almeida and School Captains Yukthi and Shreyas Palani. Homage was paid
to our first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who is fondly called Chacha
Nehru.
The programme started with a welcome speech by Ms Priya S. Ms Arockia Deepa
conceptualized the significance of the magnificent day. An array of programme was lined up
by the teachers for the students to enjoy their day.
A mesmerizing dance was performed by all the teachers and various department of the school
to make sure the students were delighted and overjoyed seeing their teachers in action.
Chief Guest and our Principal addressed the gathering by enlightening them with a beautiful
message "Try and Try and Never Give Up" giving them self confidence that they will do it
and can do it to carry with them through life's journey. The chief guest also sang a song for
the audience. The committee planned to add a few spot games to keep the fire of excitement
and enthusiasm in the children. The children's enjoyed the fun and frolic. Prizes were
distributed to the winners. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Merlyn
and refreshments were served to the children.
The celebration didn't come to an end it carried on to the next day being the actual day of
Children's Day that is 14 November 2021. It was a well planned programme and videos of
different events were shot and uploaded onto our school official YouTube channel for
students and parents to view it.
On this very special day, let us all celebrate the innocence and purity of our kids. Let them
feel precious in every way that we can because they are our future. Happy Children's Day!
