St. Joseph's School, conducted a vaccination drive to inoculate
the students aged between 15 to 18years against corona
virus/Covid-19, on 14 January 2022, as per the instruction from
the Central Board of Secondary Education. The vaccination
campaign was organized under the guidance of Rev. Fr Rohan
D'Almeida, the Principal, in accordance with the vaccination
programme of the Government of Karnataka, undertaken by
the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
The school sent a consent form to the parents a week prior to
the drive.The parents who gave their consent for their wards to
be vaccinated at school, brought their wards to the school on
the day of the vaccination drive and registered their names for
the vaccination at the counter.
Following all the safety protocols, the team in-charge of the
vaccination drive from BBMP vaccinated the registered
students in the school infirmary. Post vaccination, the students
were advised to wait for half an hour for observation.
Many students benefitted out of this vaccination drive which
was efficiently managed by the school health coordinator and
the staff. Parents were appreciative about the initiative taken
by the school in keeping the students safe.
