World Environment Day - June 2022

Theme - Only One Earth
"In the universe are billions of Galaxies. In our Galaxy are billions of Planets, but there is only one Earth. Let's take care of it."
On 9 June 2022, St. Josephs School organized a Programme to celebrate World Environment Day. Our Principal Rev Fr Rohan D' Almeida, Chief Guest Dr. K. Mohammed Hussain Sheriff, Consultation Physician at Unani Medicine, Committee Members of the environment day, Co-Ordinator's along with all the faculty members and students participated in the Programme, with exuberance and thankfulness.
The aim behind organizing this program, was to enlighten all about the theme and create an awareness about keeping the environment clean and safe from Pollution.
The program started at 8.45a.m with the school assembly conducted by high school students. While M.C welcomed the gathering, the significance of the day and the theme of the year was read by his fellow students. Various activities were conducted to create environmental awareness. Musical skit was performed by the students to convey the importance of planting more trees and protecting environment.
Students symbolically delivered the environmental pledge in a creative way followed by various group activities like Earth Mask, growing plants with seed jars, paper bags and cloth bags, birdfeeder and posters. They not only helped in creating awareness but also motivated the students in achieving the aim of the day.
Once the activities were over, Chief Guest and the Principal expressed their thoughts regarding the environment day. Students were told how they could keep the nature serenity and away from pollution.
Customarily the program ended with vote of thanks and by students tying the environmental pledge tags to the plant for promoting the importance of saving our Earth.
