Ms Jennifer Bernard and Ms Nirmala Briggs attendedthe JESCOL II on "Jesuit Leadership" in Ashirvad . It was an intense 3 day workshop focusing on the important aspects and expectations of Jesuit Leadership. Jesuits and collaborators in leadership roles across Jesuit Institutions in Bengaluru participated in the event.
Social analysis, Religion and Society, Economic analysis and Ecology, Ignatian worldview and ideals, Depth Conversation, Jesuit Leadership, Collaboration, Ignatian Decision Making process, Group dynamics Anatomy and dynamics of human interiority, Journey into self were some of the topics covered during the workshop. The session was an eye opener as each of the participants could evaluate their current role as leaders or mentors from an Ignatian perspective. The sessions were interactive and dynamic with presentations and group discussions after every specific topic covered by an expert in the field. Throughout the workshop, the group discussed non-negotiable dimensions of Jesuit education animatedly thereby emphasizing that every one present there was committed to "Forming men and women for and with others" in our schools/colleges. The workshop concluded on the third day with a deep self reflection through "Examination of Consciousness" enabling the participants to go back to their workplace recharged with an Ignatian outlook on Leadership.
