St. Joseph's School celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on March 6, 2024, March 8 was a holiday.. The program, organized toacknowledge and honour the invaluable contributions of women, featured a series of engaging activities and heartfelt speeches. Sr. Jain Benitta, the esteemed principal of St. Joseph's Indian Primary School, graced the occasion as the chief guest. As a symbolic gesture of the colour the women staff bring to life they were all invited to paint flowers on a chart which had bare branches of a tree, with their figure dipped in paint, as they entered the Board Roam. The event commenced with a poignant prayer service led by Mr. Manjunath, acknowledging the unwavering commitment and diligence. It was followed by cake cutting by the chief guest, the vice principal, Sr. Sheena Joseph, and the academic heads of the school. Sr. Jain Benitta, the chief guest was then introduced and facilitated. In her speech she emphasizing the kindness, generosity, and multifaceted abilities of women staff, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and valuing the diverse roles performed by women in our society. Mr. Stephan curated a compelling video presentation, showcasing the achievements and struggles of women across the globe, evoking a sense of admiration and respect among the audience. Father Rohan D'Almeida, the principal in his speech, extending his gratitude to all the female-staff and stated that the Women's Day program at St. Joseph's School served as a poignant reminder of the indomitable spirit and invaluable contributions of women in shaping a more inclusive and equitable society. The program was further enriched with captivating beatbox performances by Mr. Vishal fand Mr. Frank orchestrated engaging games, fostering camaraderie and laughter among the attendees. The day ended with the fellowship meal.
