St. Joseph's School organized a Capacity Building Programme focusing on Storytelling as Pedagogy with the distinguished guidance of Dr. Vamshee Priya, Chairperson Bangalore Sahodaya Schools Complex Association and Ms Chithra Dhanagopa, Mathematics teacher Higher Secondary school and Mathematics Coordinator, XII at DPS School East as the resource persons. The seminar aimed to explore the concept of storytelling as a pedagogical tool and its application in educational settings. The programme brought together educators to share their experiences and insights on the topic. The seminar highlighted the potential of storytelling to engage students, promote critical thinking, and foster emotional connections. Experts shared various narrative techniques, such as character development, plot structure and emotional resonance, to create compelling stories. The resource persons demonstrated how storytelling can be applied in various educational contexts, including language learning, subject specific and social-emotional learning.
