The pre-primary team of St Joseph School organized the Fun and Frolic day on June 27th , 2023. The theme was "Care for our Mother Earth" .
Students came to school in different coloured outfits. The colour code for the teachers was Green or Blue .The quadrangle was aptly decorated with colourful class boards having pictures related to Mother Earth and the care for Mother Earth. There were four corners with four different activities - Crepe Paper collage , Sponge painting activity on the outline earth , Segregation waste with different buckets (Dry waste, Wet waste , E-waste and Bio Medical waste), Leaf sticking on tree chart, Chalk Activity, Bubbles and an awesome Photo corner. It was a gratifying sight to see the tiny tots explore and learn through fun and play .
UkG students welcomed and gave an introduction ,followed by a brief message on the pollution and the 3 R's .
LKG and the UKG students showcased the Props with the Message placard. Principal Rev.Father Rohan D'Almeida ,Vice Principal Sister Sheena Joseph, Rev. Father Melwyn D'Cunha, Rev. Father Norwin, Cordinators and Teachers were Present for the fun and Frolic and to inaugurate the event . The Inaugural was the Planet Earth where the dignitaries had to take away the plastic and paper and replace it with the trees and a smile on the planet Earth.
Father Principal Rev Fr Rohan D'Almeida, along with Sister Sheena opened the scroll . Children offered the saplings to the dignitaries as a sign of appreciation. Father Rohan also gave a message about the importance of Mother Earth which is important for the overall development of the child. Children danced to the lively music. There was a trampoline and the tiny tots enjoyed all the activities They were happy to take a sapling home as a take away.
