St Joseph's School celebrated the 68th Kannada Rajyothsava on 16th November 2023 with great pomp and vigour.
The entire event was conceptualized by the teachers of the Kannada Department under the guidance of the Principal, Fr Rohan D'Almeida SJ. The event was celebrated in the presence of the Principal, Vice Principal Sr Sheena, coordinators, teachers, a PTA member, admin, support staff and students, The programme commenced with the rendition of Nada Geethe, paying a floral tribute to Kannada Mathe. The principal addressed the gathering with Rajothsava wishes and a message. He enlightened the students and staff about the significance of Kannada Rajyothsava. The chief guest of the celebration was renowned catholic preacher Rev. Fr Deepak. (SMMI Director, St Joseph’s Institute of Skills, Briand Square, Bangalore)
The well planned event commenced with a prayer dance followed by an insightful address by the chief guest Fr Deepak Joseph who highlighted the significance of the day and the glory of Karnataka and the Kannada language. The chief guest in his speech emphasized on the importance of knowing and speaking Kannada.
Students displayed their love for the state and language through various cultural programmes. Students paid tribute to the great personalities of our state Karnataka through a Fancy dress.
Students participated in several competitions which were organized on this occasion. The much appreciated Kannada Rajyothsava celebration which aimed at cherishing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka and inviting everyone to share the spirit of oneness, peace and harmony, concluded with the rendition of our National anthem
