Tarang Fest (For Class 11) - A deluge of cultural spectacle

February 23, 2024

Tarang is the annual cultural intra-school fest conducted for the senior secondary classes on the 23rd of February 2023. Its theme is "A deluge of cultural spectacle" rightly sums up all the events conducted. From the thrilling lost artefact hunt to the dazzling fashion show, it was a day filled with culture, fun, enthusiasm and creativity. The Planning Organising this event was a roller coaster of emotions. From the late nights to the long days of planning and preparing, alot of work was put into this fest to make it one of fun, laughter and good memories. The overseeing committee which consisted of Keenan, Veeksha and Harshal were the ones behind the entire construction of ideas, designing, and collaboration of the fest. Tarang had been conducted once by our seniors two years ago, but it was not conducted last year. This meant that we had to basically start from scratch and plan the entire event. From the new and interesting logo that was designed to the new posters, even the hype videos and trailer, it took hard work and dedication to complete the task. We also had event heads, for each of the events conducted, they were Rishit, Aritri, Rita, Andreev, Tanmaya, and Surya. Together the OC and event heads came up with the events, its rounds, and different details concerning the fest. Ms. Alice along with the senior secondary coordinator, MS. Nirmala were a driving force. And they helped us plan everything, they supported us when we most needed it and guided us through all the ups and downs throughout Tarang. The Day of The Fest Finally, it was the day of the fest. 23rd February, 2024. After all the effort put into this event, the day of fun, laughter and excitement had finally arrived. All the OC and event heads arrived early, and set up various things, such as the board room, audio system, chairs, instruments, the various videos and posters, and even the clues for the artefact hunt. The decorations had been done the previous day by Rudraksh and Ms. Yashaswini. The opening ceremony began, by welcoming our Principal, Rev Fr Rohan D Almeida, Vice principal, Sr Sheena, the coordinators, Ms Nirmala and Ms Poornima. It was followed by the lighting of the lamp by our dignitaries to indicate the start of an incredible event. After a prayer dance conducted by , and a prayer by Sandrina, there was a hymn sung by the students of class 11. Sathak enlightened us about the significance of the special day. And most importantly, the inspiring words of Fr Rohan, invoked a sense of enthusiasm for all the students present.
