We at St Joseph's school strongly believe in making difference in the lives of the people fighting a hard battle in their lives and there is nothing more beautiful than going out of our way to make life beautiful for others. Thus a fundraising drive Ujjwala -Giving is living was organized in coordination with milaap.
The drive had array of activities that involved active participation of our students, staff and stakeholders. This included Donor's Ticket, Family Bonding Competitions and organizing Fun Day, a day when the students of class 6 to 10 set up various game stalls and food stalls to raise fund for the poor and needy. Students cheerfully volunteered to help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return.
As Bernard Meltzer rightly quotes, "There is no better exercise for your heart than reaching down and helping to lift someone up ", the drive not only helped us to implant values in our students but also gave a great sense of satisfaction within us.
